Projeto Speak4Nature aprovado na União Europeia
O Projeto Speak4Nature, tratando de Justiça Ecológica e direitos da natureza, foi aprovado pela União Europeia, através do programa Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions. O projeto tem como parceiros a UFSC e várias instituições da Europa e América Latina.
O objetivo central do projeto é o tema da Justiça Ecológica e como as questões ambientais contemporâneas estão transformando o modo como vivemos e os pilares fundamentais das ciências sociais, impactando em muitas questões para o público em geral, cientistas, governos e órgãos reguladores.
No âmbito do PPGD da UFSC, o projeto é coordenado pelos grupos de pesquisa OJE e GPDA, sob tutela dos professores Leticia Albuquerque e José Rubens Morato Leite. A Coordenação Geral no nível da União Europeia está a cargo do Prof. Rodrigo Miguez Nunez, da UPO (Itália).
O projeto contará com várias atividades, dentre outras, períodos de pesquisa e intercâmbio de pesquisadores, congressos, além da criação e manutenção de um site com banco de dados acessível sobre documentos e resultados do projeto.
Em abril de 2024, será realizado um workshop na UFSC de forma híbrida, possibilitando a participação de toda a comunidade acadêmica interessada.

Speak4Nature project, dealing with Ecological Justice and the Rights of Nature was approved in the European Union in partnership of UFSC and several EU and Latin American institutions.
The Speak4Nature project approved by the European Union, through the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions program, has as partners the UFSC and several institutions in Europe and Latin America.
The central aim of the project is the theme of Ecological Justice and how contemporary environmental issues are transforming the way we live and the fundamental pillars of social sciences, impacting on many issues for the general public, scientists, governments, and regulatory bodies. Within the PPGD of UFSC, the project is coordinated by the research groups OJE and GPDA, under the tutelage of Professors Leticia Albuquerque and José Rubens Morato Leite, being the General Coordination at the European Union level conducted by Prof. Rodrigo Miguez Nunez, from UPO, Italy.
The project will have several activities, among others, research periods and exchange of researchers, and seminars, besides the creation and maintenance of a website with an accessible database of documents and project results. Soon, a workshop will be held in April 2024 at UFSC in a hybrid way, enabling the participation of the whole interested academic community, according to the schedule inserted in the link.
